My yoga journey ultimately began when I tore a muscle in my leg. At the time it felt like the worst thing that could’ve happened to me. As a runner, it really did a number on my head. I felt frazzled, overwhelmed and overly frustrated. At that point, running was the only thing that really gave me that cleansing high. While I was trying to rehab my leg, I would go to the gym but I couldn’t find anything that would give me that same feeling as running. I felt beat. After 3 months of not running I stumbled upon Hot Yoga on 17th. I had practiced yoga… But mainly using it as a stretch after a run, not as a main workout. I decided to give it a try. After the first class I was hooked. HOOKED!!! I had finally found something that gave me that same high, only better! There’s nothing in the world that makes me feel better than a hot yoga class… It’s insanely addictive, in a good way
I wanted people to feel the same way as I do about yoga, so I travelled to Costa Rica to do my 200 hr interdisciplinary yoga training at the Nosara Yoga Institute. I was lucky enough to spend 6 weeks there, stretching, breathing, and falling deeper in love with yoga.
Now, I’m lucky enough to be teaching at this amazingly beautiful studio, that has become such a huge part of so many of our lives. I invite you to come stretch, sweat, breathe… Laugh… And love with me.
