Something you may not know: I was born in Iran and left at the age of 5 due to the challenges faced by our Bahai community during the revolution. My mom and four siblings found refuge in the Philippines before we came to Canada as refugees 3 years later. Following that, I spent a year volunteering at the Bahai World Center in Israel, and later, worked in China while exploring different parts of the world.

ELMIRA

Elmira took her first yoga class 20 years ago and instantly fell in love with the practice. From there she and her husband Paul opened up Hot Yoga on 17th in 2008 as a way to share their passion for mindful movement, health and well-being. She is a big believer in Yoga as medicine and that through a consistent practice, one can achieve inner peace, clarity and joy.

It's her intention to share authentically and empower students to carve their own path toward connecting to their body, mind and soul.

Elmira’s classes are balanced, dancing between strength and fluidity to the beat of an energetic playlist, leaving you feeling strong and grounded.

Currently, Elmira and her husband are navigating the journey of parenthood with their two daughters, Talia and Alliyah, and enjoying the role of proud grandparents to their grandson, Malyk.
